nAs they were shopping, Su Jingting and Xia Yishan wore face masks and pulled their baseball caps down. They were in the supermarket, pushing a shopping cart.

nHe felt helpless facing the green vegetables, cabbages, corn, and carrots at the counter. What puzzled him even more was how cabbages that looked the same had different prices. He lowered his head and had no choice but to ask her, “Which one do we buy?”

nShe was surprised by his question. “We buy whichever is fresh.”

nAs she spoke, Xia Yishan quickly chose the vegetables.

nShe was going crazy. She could not believe that she was grocery shopping out in the open with Su Jingting.

nThere were many people at the supermarket since it was close to dinner time. Xia Yishan was worried that people would recognize Best Actor Su. Everybody knew that his fans were crazy.

nHow could she protect the Master Best Actor if a scuffle broke out?

nShe would die if even a hair on the Master Best Actor’s head was harmed…

nXia Yishan had goosebumps all over her body when she thought of that. She shuddered.

n“Which pork ribs should we get?” the curious best actor proceeded to ask.

nHe had no idea that the anxiety was making Xia Yishan lose her mind. “We should have enough for dinner tonight. Let’s leave now!”

nShe had already noticed a few girls observing them slyly. She had to get rid of them…

n“Didn’t you say we needed to get soy sauce?”

n“No, I don’t need soy sauce as I have great cooking skills.” Xia Yishan quickly pushed Su Jingting to the cashier.

nWalking so hurriedly blew their cover. The two girls that were observing them close by matched their pace.

n‘Oh, no…’

nXia Yishan did not expect Su Jingting to draw attention with his face covered. He was just too attractive!

n“Look, look. That man is so handsome!

n“The lady is pretty too.”

n“That man looks so familiar. Is he an actor?”

n“It’s Best Actor Su, Su Jingting!”

n“Oh no…” Ignoring the shopping cart, Xia Yishan got in front of Best Actor Su, acting as a shield.

nThe crowd rushed over like savage beasts. How could she keep Best Actor Su safe by herself?!

nEven when he was just getting off the plane, he needed bodyguards, a stunt double, and a VIP passage!

nShe did not notice Su Jingting quickly tapping on his phone a few times.

n“Best…” Xia Yishan swallowed the remaining two words and said immediately, “Run to the emergency exit now. I can only hold them for ten minutes at most. There are too many people!

n“Run. Now…”

n“It’s alright.” Su Jingting held her hand tightly. His hand was huge, it covered hers entirely.

n“You must run now. I guarantee that your admirers will understand that you have to protect yourself. You won’t lose any fans…”

n“Lose fans? I don’t care about that!”

nXia Yishan was speechless.

n‘Oh, my best actor. This isn’t the time for you to flaunt your manliness! Please calm down!’

nSu Jingting swiftly took off the jacket he was wearing and covered her with it. He pulled her into his arms and tightened the jacket, making sure that her face would not be revealed.

nIt was just like the time at the academy.

nSu Jingting was much taller than Xia Yishan, so when he did that, she was leaning heavily against his body. She could feel his body heat, but she could not see him through the jacket.

nShe heard his voice that was the clearest among the noise, “As a man, I must guard my love no matter what. As a man, I can’t hide behind a lady no matter what!”

nXia Yishan felt a little sad.

nIt seemed like she had never experienced the feeling of being protected.

nThe sensation was amazing!

nXia Yishan grabbed Su Jingting’s waist with both hands, allowing him to protect her in his embrace.
