nAs Chen Jing briefed Lu Xin about the situation, she brought him to a spacious office. There, Lu Xin saw for the first time many items he had only seen on the TV and in the books before the Red Moon event.

nLu Xin glanced at Gecko, who was walking behind him, but Gecko avoided eye contact and pretended as if he had heard nothing.

n“The Six Monsters of Qinggang, huh? I suppose he’s probably referring to us!”

nThe old man chuckled and stood up. He shook Lu Xin’s hand and introduced himself. “I’m Chen, the chief director at the Qinggang Special Corruption Research Center. Your assessment today will be chaired by my five colleagues and myself. After the assessment, the six of us will be guiding you in the next stage too. There’s no need to worry. We’re all fully experienced!”

The oldest one was the gentleman before him whose name was Chen. He looked to be at least 60 years old. As for the rest, most of the men were bald. nA middle-aged woman in glasses waved her hand, gesturing that Gecko was blocking Lu Xin.

nChen Jing then briefed Lu Xin on some important instructions about the assessment, though she was probably buying time for Lu Xin to relax. Then, the senior professor Chen brought the group out of the office toward the assessment venue. They wanted to test Lu Xin’s first ability there.

When he said “common”, he glanced at Gecko and added, “Certainly, it’s one of the most powerful ones too!”
