n“I don’t want to care about her but for the past three years, the Education Bureau has been complaining to me about Gu Anhao’s bad behavior at A High. She has really embarrassed me and is tarnishing the reputation of the Gu family. I think that I really made the wrong decision by keeping her by my side in the past!”

nMrs. Gu snorted in a cold manner after listening to him. “Aren’t you ashamed of yourself right now? If you did not cheat on me with that cheap and shameless woman twenty years ago, you would not have produced this kind of an illegitimate child that is a thorn in our eyes!”

n“You can only blame yourself for your own actions! I was young and silly at that time. That was the only reason why I chose to forgive you for your discretions but I will never accept her into my life. She is nothing but an illegitimate child that was brought into this world by a lowly woman. Gu Anhao is not worthy enough to step into the Gu family. I am already extremely upset that she actually bears the same surname as my precious daughter!”

n“Alright, alright, I get it. I just came back from Beijing. Do you really want to start an argument with me now?”

nGu Tianming glanced impatiently at his wife and Gu Shishi, who was standing behind her, at this point. “Shishi, I have already instructed someone to help you with your application to get into the arts school in Canada. I will be able to send you to Canada immediately after the Spring Festival on one condition. You have to promise me that you will keep up your good work and make me proud by winning more awards there. Okay?”

n“The only reason you always get the top three spots is because of your father’s status in A City. Who would have the guts to embarrass my daughter? If anyone has the audacity to leave you out of the top three spots, I will make sure that that person’s family pays the price for their mistake!”

n“Okay, Daddy. I have always worked hard. I promise that I will not let you down.”

nGu Anhao watched from afar as the family of three walked through the entrance of the hotel with smiles on their faces.

nShe should have already been accustomed to the Gu family’s slander and gossip behind her back. She should have already been accustomed to the fact that to the Gu family, she was nothing more than an illegitimate child that should not have been brought into this world. Moreover, Gu Anhao had never expected her father to have any sense of humanity or compassion toward her.

nHowever, after listening to their conversations, it seemed as though Mrs. Gu and Gu Shishi did not tell her father that they set up a trap to frame her. In other words, Gu Tianming did not know that she was already married.

nAnyway, it did not matter whether he knew about the incident or not. After all, it was her one and only opportunity to leave the Gu family.

nGu Anhao calmed herself down after watching the family of three disappear into the hotel. After that, she stepped into the hotel.

nThe last time she was at the Deways Hotel, she was so drunk that she actually delivered red wine to the wrong room. She was caught by Zuo Hancheng and he drenched her in cold water so that she would sober up.

nThis time, she came here again because she wanted to create a big scene to embarrass Zuo Hancheng. She had already decided that she would take revenge on him, right from the very beginning.

nHowever, the hotel was really enormous. All of the hotel staff and guests were busy hustling and walking in and out of the hotel. Moreover, Mobai sounded really busy when Gu Anhao called him earlier. All that he said was that CEO Zuo would be at the Deways Hotel today. He did not tell her which room or lounge he would be at. Gu Anhao knew that none of the hotel staff would tell her about Zuo Hancheng’s whereabouts. Therefore, the only thing that she could do was to search for him on each and every floor.

nWhen Gu Anhao arrived at the seventh floor, she saw a directory of the hotel on the room service desk.

nShe lost all of her strength as soon as she glanced at the directory.

nDeways Hotel was a thirty-eight-storey building. The first eighteen floors were all hotel rooms and the next few floors above it consisted of a very well-known entertainment club. The higher floors then consisted of a gym, a swimming pool, and there were many floors consisting of conference rooms that were specially built to host meetings for leaders and businessmen all over the world. There were also two floors that were wholly dedicated for restaurants and lounge areas.

nOh my God! How would she ever be able to find him?

nSince Zuo Hancheng was here for a business meeting with another businessman, Gu Anhao was certain that he would be between the twenty-eighth to thirty-fifth floor.

nTherefore, Gu Anhao took the elevator and headed straight to the twenty-eighth floor. After exiting the elevator, she realized that this floor was a dining place and most of the restaurants were filled with private rooms. There were not many people on this floor at this time and most of the doors of the private rooms were closed. How would she be able to find out who was behind the doors if she could not even look inside?

nGu Anhao then came to a sudden realization.

nEven if Gu Anhao knew where he was at this time, for someone of Zuo Hancheng’s status, she would not be able to find him if he did not want to be discovered.

nThis clearly emphasized the difference between both of their worlds. It seemed as though it was almost impossible for her to find him, if so, she would not be able to create chaos and take her revenge.

nGu Anhao felt very discouraged at this moment, she then turned and headed into the washroom. She washed her face with cold water and then turned around to step out of the washroom. As she had her head lowered, she did not pay attention to the person standing in front of the door and she walked right into the person. No… in fact, the other party was the one who intentionally slammed into Gu Anhao.

nGu Anhao raised her head and she saw that the person that she had run into was none other than Gu Shishi, who was staring at her with her brows raised and a smug expression on her face. Mrs. Gu was right behind her, and the both of them walked into the washroom.

nDamn it! Why was she so unlucky to run directly into this pair of mother and daughter?

nGu Anhao had a stiff expression on her face. She did not want to have a confrontation with them. Therefore, she tried to walk out of the washroom immediately.

n“Hey, don’t leave in such a hurry!”

nGu Shishi stepped in front of the door to block the exit before turning around to look at Mrs. Gu.

n“Mommy, don’t you think that it’s too much of a coincidence? Daddy just came back from Beijing today and look who is here at this hotel? What do you think is the reason that Gu Anhao is here today? I think that she was trying to look for an opportunity to spend some time with Daddy because she thought that the both of us would not be here today!”

nMrs. Gu was looking at Gu Anhao with contempt. “Yes, it is indeed too much of a coincidence. I would never have expected that such a young girl like you would actually be so devious. I guess you really inherited all of your traits from your dead mother!”

nMrs. Gu supported Gu Shishi’s statement without any hesitation.

nGu Shishi stepped forward in an attempt to mock Gu Anhao even further. “What is the matter? Don’t forget that the only reason you had the opportunity to get to know the CEO of Shengling Group is because of my mother and I. Unfortunately, he is not interested in someone like you at all! I guess the both of you parted ways as soon as you stepped out of the hotel, right?”

nGu Anhao stared blankly at the arrogant Gu Shishi before she replied, “I only came to the washroom to wash my face. I do not know why you and your mother are so free to waste time stalking me and blocking the washroom exit, not allowing me to leave.”

n“We are stalking you?” Gu Shishi sneered.

n“Gu Anhao! Please get your facts straight! The only reason we are here today is to celebrate since my father is finally home. The three of us were enjoying a happy meal together. My father left earlier because he has to attend an urgent meeting. My mother is just accompanying me to the washroom because I wanted to touch up my makeup. Who would have known that we would run into you here?”

n“That is great news, then. Since we cannot tolerate one another, then I believe that it is in all of our best interest if you would just step aside so that I can leave now. That way, we can minimize any need for communication at all.”

nAnhao totally ignored the smug expression on her face. “Please move aside. Don’t block the exit!”

nHowever, Gu Shishi refused to back off. Instead, she raised her brow at Gu Anhao as she replied, “Gu Anhao, do you really think that I would let you go just like that? I have been meaning to say this. You were so drunk when you came to see me the other day, I believe that you would have rushed into the bathroom to throw up after I left. Am I right? So, I don’t think that anything intimate could have happened between the two of you anyway!”

n“Moreover, I am absolutely certain that it is absolutely impossible for someone such as Zuo Hancheng to touch you at all! The only reason he spoke up for you is simply because he is a gentleman! Don’t think that you are so great just because of that!”
