n“You!”

nMadam Gu knew that Anhao had recently learnt Taekwondo and she had rarely been returning to the Gu residence as of late, thus Madam Gu did not have much of a chance to find fault with her. At this time, seeing Anhao’s devil-may-care attitude made her grit her teeth in anger.

n“You haven’t even graduated and you’ve already slept with some man! He has ruined you and yet you’re still acting so arrogantly! How shameful! I feel disgusted when talking to you!”

nGu Shishi pointed her finger at Anhao all of a sudden.

n“Which reminds me. Gu Anhao, you had the guts to sleep with some dirty man in such a nice and expensive hotel! Did you pay for it? The money you used was yours or the Gu family’s? Don’t you feel ashamed using the Gu family’s money to fool around with men?”

nAnhao herself did not even have a clue which hotel she was staying in now.

nShe was confused and panicky upon waking up just now; all she felt was that the room was spacious, and there were even two or three bedrooms in that suite. From the looks of it, it was at least a presidential suite of a 5-star or 6-star hotel.

nUpon hearing what Gu Shishi said, she looked down and glanced at the hotel logo embroidered on her bathrobe with gold thread. She was rather taken aback after looking at it.

n‘Where in the world did that man come from? I can’t believe he brought me to such a luxurious hotel!’

nSeeing Anhao being slightly surprised, Gu Shishi stepped forward and pushed her away.

nUnguarded, Anhao was pushed one step back before she looked up, only to see Gu Shishi walking into the room with a swagger.

n“Let me see who’s the man who slept with you last night!”

nOf course, Anhao was not nervous since she did not do anything wrong.

nHowever, after thinking that it was a bad idea to put the man in the middle of all this, she moved forward and grabbed her wrist.

n“What’s wrong? Are you afraid?”

nGu Shishi sneered and shook off her hand. “I want to see what kind of rubbish you have found to have a one-night stand with you. I remember that the man’s figure was quite good when I was watching from a distance! ”

nWhile saying so, Gu Shishi lowered her tone again and spoke in a whisper that only Anhao could hear, “How’s the present I gave you? You must have enjoyed yourself last night.”

nAnhao completely had no reaction toward her taunts.

nGu Shishi was pissed after seeing that she not only looked unnerved and fearless, but also had a look of rebellion in her eyes. “Gu Anhao, you dare stare at me? Try hitting me instead of using your eyes! Let’s see whether Dad will continue to let you stay in the Gu family!”

nKnowing that Gu Shishi was taunting her, Anhao clenched her fists. That face of hers really made her feel agitated to the point where she wanted to tear her apart.

nSuddenly, a loud creak came from the bedroom door behind them.

nAnhao’s face stiffened, she turned her head back and looked in shock at the man who was coming out.

nGu Shishi was even more excited upon hearing the door inside being opened.

nFinally, coming out of the door was a slender, tall body.

nContrary to how she imagined him to be, that man did not have a frivolous appearance of a miscreant. Instead, he was handsome like a god. His facial features were perfect and timeless, like he was carved by the ancient gods themselves. He appeared before everyone with such indifference.

nGu Shishi looked at the man who was completely indescribable in utter disbelief before setting her sights on his bathrobe. Then, her small heart instantly shattered to pieces after looking at the exact same bathrobe that Anhao was wearing now.

n“Who… Who are you?”

nShe had wanted to spew all sorts of trash at him, but after seeing him, she stiffly became rather courteous. This man’s aura was truly more than meets the eye.

nAnhao herself was dazedly looking at the man and did not react in time.

n‘Why did he come out? Why did he come out?’

nIn order to prevent not only the Gu family from discovering his existence, but also him from being involved in this mess, she could have driven them away. But alas, why on earth did he come out?!

nWhile Zuo Hancheng was talking about official business with his assistant on the phone, he suddenly heard the commotion and foul-mouthed clamoring outside the door, and proceeded to hang up his phone.

nHe originally had no plans on listening in on this family’s crap, but he was forced to listen to whatever they were saying due to him being stuck in the room.

nZuo Hancheng assumed that it was just an exaggerated family drama on ethics and morality, but Gu Anhao, who was being humiliated by her family, did not try to explain herself.

nIt was also a piece of cake for Zuo Hancheng to come to realize that the little girl was caught in the trap of these people even though he did not appreciate this kind of drama.

nAlthough Gu Anhao knew this perfectly well, she never retorted nor tried to explain herself.

nIt was surprising to see that this little girl, who was just a high schooler, was able to control her temper and stand her ground while being bullied by her family.

nAfter coming out of the room, his gaze that fell on Anhao seemed to have traces of piqued interest.

nWith her back facing them, she was still unmoved by force or persuasion of her so-called Gu family just now, but her face was laced with exhaustion and irritation. However, she also felt embarrassed and really wanted to hide in a hole for having dragged this man into this pit of a mess.

nAt this time, Zuo Hancheng examined her carefully before coldly glancing at Gu Shishi. “You must be a student too judging by your appearance. Is this how the self-respected Gu family is supposed to be? With words like ‘one-night stand’ and ‘dirty man’ coming out of your mouth the moment you enter the room?”

nGu Shishi did not expect herself to be insulted by the man on Anhao’s behalf. This person might look like a tough nut to crack, she still could not help but retort, “You…”

n“Shishi!”

nAll of a sudden, Madam Gu hurried over and grabbed Gu Shishi by the wrist. Then, she whispered after dragging her backward. “Something seems off, don’t say anything stupid.”

nAfter turning her head to look at Zuo Hancheng without rhyme or reason, Gu Shishi hesitated for a while before turning back to ask in a soft voice, “Mom, who’s this guy?”

nAfter all, Madam Gu was the wife of the mayor, and she had met countless dignitaries over the years. At one glance, she knew that the handsome man in front of her was no ordinary person even though he looked quite unfamiliar.

nHe overheard their conversation in his room, yet he still walked out in a calm and composed manner and did not have a sense of awe even after knowing that they were the mayor’s family members. Obviously, there was more to this man than meets the eye.

nGu Shishi, who was being pulled to the door, was still feeling disgruntled, but after being stopped by her mother she kept her mouth shut.

nThe second uncle, who had been standing in front of the door for a while, finally recognized the god in front of him. He then turned back and whispered in a soft voice after inhaling sharply, “This person looks like Zuo Hancheng of Shengling Group.”

nThe third uncle of the Gu family also took a closer look. “Seems like he really is!”

n“A few years ago, Shengling Group moved its corporate headquarters back to China from the United States for the vigorous development of domestic enterprise resources. This Zuo Hancheng is the number one man in the commercial world, even the province can’t hire him!”
