nChapter 20
nShe quickly scurried her way into the bathroom, slammed the door with all her might, and locked the door from the inside.
nAfter locking the door she remembered that this was his house. If he were to be taken over by his beastly nature and unlocked the door, what could she do? She paced around in the bathroom for a while. Then she lifted a hook that was on the wall and hung it on the lock, making sure that Zuo Hancheng could not possibly enter before sighing in relief.
nAs she was taking a shower, it was very quiet outside. Zuo Hancheng seemed to have no intentions of breaking the door down.
nAnhao would look outside from time to time. With light coming through the bottom of the door, she could see whether his silhouette was coming closer to the bathroom. she finally let her guard down and calmed herself down.
nAfter she was done showering and drying her hair, she walked out of the bathroom, but did not see Zuo Hancheng in the living room. So Anhao tip-toed all the way back to the bedroom.
nAs soon as she was in the room she quickly locked the door, and put the hook from the bathroom on the door. It was a success. She dusted her hands seemingly pleased with herself, and turned to the bed.
nAs soon as she turned around she was very close to screaming and she quickly covered her mouth, shocked to the core as she saw Zuo Hancheng lying on the bed.
nHe was not in the living room just now, should he not be in the study?
nWhen did he come into the bedroom?
nShe looked back at the door she had made an effort to lock, once again she looked back at Zuo Hancheng.
nHe was still awake, and had changed into a set of blue pajamas. He was leaning against the bed frame, and his hands were holding the finished sketches of the second-floor rooms that she had drawn.
nAnhao tried to open the door and leave before he could look at her, just as her hand touched the doorknob she suddenly heard Zuo Hancheng’s voice.
n“Come sleep.”
nAnhao stood by the door stiffly. She was in a dilemma. She looked at the beautiful man who had occupied more than half of the bed, but she could not find a reason to chase him out, since this was his home.
nHowever, she could not go as far as to share a bed with him. She had just showered, would it not mean that she made an effort to clean herself up and was offering herself to the big black wolf?
nRealizing that the girl was frozen in place and leaning against the door without moving, Zuo Hancheng squinted his eyes at her coldly. “Since you flirted with all the handsome male students in the entire school, what about me?”
nAnhao’s eyes twitched. “Those guys are still young, it’s just flirting nothing else happened. After all their endurance is strong. But to a man like you, almost in his thirties… I mean someone like you who’s of a certain age, I really don’t wanna take advantage of you.”
nZuo Hancheng did not have the intention of letting her strike a blow, he did not even lift his eyes and said lightly, “It’s alright, I don’t mind you taking advantage of me.”
nAnhao fiercely rolled her eyes. “I’m sleeping in the study.”
n“There’s no bed in the study.”
n“You’re lying, then how did you sleep for the past two days?” Anhao did not believe him.
n“It’s almost the end of the year. I need to review some projects from some important departments for the start of the new year. I’ve been reviewing projects for the past few nights, so I didn’t get much sleep.” Zuo Hancheng then looked at her. “Are you sure you want to sleep in the study?”
nWho would go if there were no bed!
nShe was not about to torture herself!
nHowever, hearing that he was busy for the past two nights without really getting any sleep, she guessed that he probably only snoozed sometimes, and took some time to rest during the day so he did not get much rest for the past two days. No matter how childish Anhao appeared to be she knew that asking him to give her the bed was too much.
nHer steps were heavy as she walked to the bed, after two steps she stopped. “How about I go to the sofa…”
n“Gu Anhao, just how did you describe that Year 3 female student that day?”
nAnhao was stunned for a moment, she then quickly reacted. He was sarcastically saying that she was like that white lotus Hanru, mocking her that she was acting reserved!
n‘F*ck!’
nShe silently rolled her eyes, stood by the bed and muttered unconvinced, “Why do I need to share a bed with you?”
n“Because I’m your husband.”
n“…”
nAnhao was speechless. She lifted the blanket and dove under it, even though she had on an expression that said she wanted to die.
n“You plan to use the rooms on the second floor like this?”
nAnhao, who planned to stay under the blankets and go to sleep directly, poked her head out after hearing his words.
nSeeing that he was looking at her drafts, she held out her hand and pointed. “That room has ample sunlight, and it has a big balcony. You can see the best view of Liujing Residence from the terrace, I think that room suits me best as my bedroom.
n“For the others, since you insisted that I start studying and turn over a new leaf, then leave that as my study, my personal space, for this room…I don’t have a lot of clothes, but since it’s such a big room it’s suitable as a changing room, I also made some other arrangements…”
nEven though it was just sketches drawn using pencil, every line and drawing—even the arrangements that Anhao laid out was well calculated.
nHe did not realize that this girl had talent in designing. Then her taste in aesthetics should not be a problem. That meant that the bizarre dressing style of hers at the bar had been intentional.
n“The bedroom sketch of the second floor was drawn with great detail, clearly you started with the bedroom first when you drafted.” Zuo Hancheng put the papers aside, and glanced at Anhao who was still hiding under the blankets. “Is that how badly you want to sleep apart from your husband?”
nSeeing that he was going under the blanket, like he was about to make a move on her, Anhao clutched the blanket tightly. “I think I better sleep on the couch…”
nBefore she could finish her sentence, Zuo Hancheng was already on top of her. “I don’t make it a habit of ignoring my wife. Between sleeping on the couch and sleeping beside me, don’t you think you’re making the wrong choice?”
nShe felt that the man’s hands had become restless and were starting to move recklessly on her body. Anhao was speechless and choked, she quickly lifted her hands and grabbed his. “I think you should have an affair! I’m still young and I’m not suited for you!”
n“Whether you are suitable or not, how do you know before even trying?” The man had successfully unbuttoned the front buttons of her pajamas
nWhen Anhao was out shopping yesterday, she had used his card to buy some junk food. She had bought her daily supplies using her own money. He now realized that she had bought such a reserved set of pajamas—it was the complete opposite of her usual arrogant thug getup that she had at the bar.
nAs he patiently unbuttoned the buttons on her chest, easily locking her limbs which were flailing about as Anhao planned to flee from him, Anhao struggled to lift her hand and pushed him on the chest separating their bodies. “Zuo! Han! Cheng!”
nJust as she got back the freedom of one of her hands, the man had leaned down on her lips. With absolute strength he restrained her until Anhao felt her whole body going stiff, but realized that she could not fight against this man.
